Bang!

A classic party shootout game set in the Old West, where players take Sheriff, Deputy, Outlaw, and Renegade cards and shoot it out. Every character has a different special ability, so there is the fun of planning a different strategy each game.

Rules

1. Setup

Only the Sheriff reveals their role; everyone else keeps their identity hidden and is given a character card along with the matching life point (bullet) cards. The Sheriff starts with one more life point than their character's own.

2. Turn flow

Draw two cards, work out the distance from the seating order to your left and right, and either shoot a player within range with a Bang! card or play equipment and special cards to strengthen yourself. When your turn ends, you must bring your hand down to no more than your remaining life points.

3. Key rules

A Bang! card can only be used on a player within range, and weapon cards can extend your range. A Missed! card cancels a Bang! attack, and a player who drops to zero life points is out of the game.

4. End condition

If the Sheriff's side puts down all the Outlaws and the Renegade, the Sheriff wins; if the Outlaws take out the Sheriff, the Outlaws win (except that if only the Renegade is still alive before the Outlaws are eliminated, the Renegade wins).

💡 Master tip

Outlaws and the Renegade need to keep their identity hidden, so hold back from reckless attacks early on, and the Sheriff should quickly confirm who they can trust as the Deputy. The standard strategy for the Renegade is to stay hidden until the table thins out, then aim to be the last one standing.
