1. Personal data collected
BoardGameMate has no sign-up or log-in, and does not collect or store personally identifying information such as your name or email address on any server.
2. Data stored in your browser
Game scores and your collection status (owned / wishlist / played) are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to a server. Clearing your browser data deletes them too.
3. Visitor analytics (Google Analytics)
Google Analytics may be used to collect non-identifying statistics such as which pages are visited and where visitors came from, in order to improve the service. Cookies may be used for this, and you can block cookies in your browser settings.
4. Advertising
This site uses or may use Kakao AdFit and Google AdSense. Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on visits to this site and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised ads through Google Ads Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. Where consent is required by law, visitors are given a choice through a consent-management message. This policy will be updated when ad providers or processing practices change.
5. Comments
Comments can be posted without signing in. We store only the nickname and text you enter, the time it was posted, and a hash of a random session value kept in a browser cookie. We do not store IP addresses or browser details. To block automated posting we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which does receive your IP address and browser information. Comments reported by several visitors are hidden automatically pending review. If you want a comment removed, report it or contact us.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will post the update here with its date. Effective 2026-08-19 (last updated 2026-09-29).
