Rules

1. Setup

Set up the map tiles, obstacles, and monsters for the scenario, and each player prepares their character's ability card deck. Depending on how far the campaign has come, you upgrade your character with the rewards and growth from earlier scenarios.

2. Turn flow

Each round you secretly choose 2 ability cards from your hand and then reveal the initiative number. In order from the lowest initiative, you combine the top action of one card with the bottom action of the other.

3. Key rules

Playing certain cards or resting makes cards lost, and when your hand runs out you are exhausted. When you attack you draw from the attack modifier deck instead of rolling dice.

4. End condition

You succeed when you meet the scenario goal (for example, defeating all enemies), and you fail if every player is exhausted or killed.

💡 Master tip

You need practice using the top and bottom halves of your move and attack cards flexibly. Count when your hand will run out and choose the moment to rest carefully.
