흔한남매 방탈출게임

Spin the roulette and wander the rooms to collect the four digits of your own code, then leave through the exit. The numbers sit under face-down coins, so checking them one by one as you pass is the game. Lucky-or-unlucky cards can steal another player's number or swap everything outright.

Which product is this

This guide covers the Korean edition of Samjin International's Heunhan Namaeng Escape Room Game (barcode `8809176332029`, manufactured November 2023). You spin a roulette, wander the rooms to collect the four digits of your own code, then leave through the exit. Ages 7 and up.

A different product shares the name

Haksan Munhwasa's separate ladder game is a dice race over 100 spaces for ages 5–6, made by a different company with different rules. Do not apply this guide to that game.

⚠️ Unconfirmed

The number of board spaces and their layout, the range and spread of the numbers printed on the coins, the number of joker coins, and how the large and small boards are used are not confirmed in our sources and are left out. Check the box and rules sheet.

Setup

Before the first game

Apply the stickers and assemble the roulette and pawns. A parent can do this ahead of time so the children can start right away.

  1. 1Place the number coins one per code space with the ? side up, in any arrangement.
  2. 2Shuffle the code cards and each player picks one. Keep it face up where everyone can see it.
  3. 3Put the pawns on the start space.
  4. 4Decide turn order with the roulette or rock-paper-scissors.

Your turn

  1. 1Spin the roulette.
  2. 2Move your pawn that many spaces. You choose the direction, but you may not retrace a space you already passed during the same move.
  3. 3Resolve each space you pass or land on as described below.
The flow of one turn. A code space is checked even if you only pass over it.

Collecting your code

When you land on or pass a code space, flip its coin.

  • If the number is on your code card, take the coin.
  • If it is not yours, leave it where it is, number showing. From then on everyone knows where that number is.
  • If you pass two code spaces in one turn, you may take both, but you cannot hold the same number twice.
  • The joker number, shown with the Nyaha pose, can stand in for any number.
Three outcomes when you flip a coin

Special spaces

  • Secret passage: jump to the opposite secret passage.
  • Lucky-or-unlucky card space: draw a card and do what it says. Effects include gaining, losing or giving away numbers, swapping your code card and numbers with another player, and being sent back to start.
  • Exit space: you can escape only if you hold all four digits.

⚠️ Unconfirmed

The effect of each of the 25 cards and how many of each kind exist are not confirmed in our sources and are left out. Follow the text on the card you draw.

Escaping and winning

You escape by collecting all four digits and then reaching the exit space. If you arrive without all four digits you have not won yet and the game goes on.

⚠️ Unconfirmed

How to rule when several players escape close together, and where your pawn stays after reaching the exit without all digits, are not confirmed. Agree on this before you start.

Ideas for playing with children

  • Flipping a coin that is not yours leaves its number visible to everyone, which helps whoever needs it. Because code cards are face up, where you walk is information management.
  • Since every code card is visible, remember where numbers other players need are sitting.
  • Holding the joker means you effectively need only three digits.

Frequently asked questions

Q. Is this the same as the slime ladder escape game?

No. This one uses a roulette and collecting codes for ages 7+. The ladder game is a dice race over 100 spaces for ages 5–6, from a different maker.

Q. What if my code overlaps with another player's?

The box has several coins with the same number, so the game continues. A joker can also fill a gap.

Q. Do I win by reaching the exit first?

No. You need all four digits first. Without them you have not escaped and the game continues.

Q. What happens to a coin that isn't mine?

It stays where it is with its number face up, and everyone now knows where that number is.

Q. Is there anything to prepare before the first game?

Yes. Apply the stickers and assemble the roulette and pawns.

Sources and verification scope

This guide rests on the owner's record of checking the full Korean rules sheet of the Samjin International edition (docs/owned-games.md) and on the catalog. The rules text itself was not read directly while writing this guide and no online copy was found, so the grade stays `secondary`. No official English edition or English rules sheet was confirmed.

This English version is a translation of the Korean rules. An official English spelling of the Heunhan Namaeng brand was not confirmed, so only a romanization is used. ⚠️ Unconfirmed

💡 Master tip

Flipping a coin that is not yours leaves its number visible to everyone. You are effectively opening a number someone else was looking for, and since code cards are face up in this game, where you walk is information management. If you get the joker number, you effectively need only three digits.
