Roll along the numbered route from 1 to 100, climbing ladders and going down slides. The standard game uses one die; the faster variant uses two.
Components and checked edition
| Component | Count |
|---|---|
| Game board | 1 |
| Playing pieces | 4 |
| Piece stands | 4 |
| Dice | 2 |
This guide covers only the Bunnyland standard edition marked for 2–4 players, ages 6+, and 10 minutes or more. The box gives no upper time limit, so none is inferred.
Setup and turn order
- 1Lay the board on a flat surface.
- 2Each player chooses one piece, fits it into a stand and places it at the start.
- 3Use rock-paper-scissors to choose the first player.
- 4Continue turns counterclockwise from the first player.
Use one die in the standard game
The box contains two dice, but the standard rules use one. The second die is for the faster variant.
A turn
- 1Roll one die.
- 2Move the piece that many spaces in ascending number order.
- 3If it stops on a ladder or slide space, move it immediately to the connected end.
- 4Pass the turn to the next player counterclockwise.
Ladders, slides and the finish
Move through the numbered route from 1 to 100, then reach Finish
- Stop at the bottom of a ladder and climb to its upper end.
- Stop at the top of a slide and go down to its lower end.
- A ladder or slide applies only when the piece stops on its space, not when it passes over it.
Faster variant
For a faster game, roll both dice together and move by their total. This is the only movement-rule change stated for the faster variant in the checked rules.
End and winner
The first player to pass space 100 and reach Finish wins immediately. The roll does not have to match the remaining distance exactly.
Do not bounce back
A roll larger than the remaining distance still reaches Finish. Do not wait or move backward; end the game as soon as the piece reaches Finish.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Must the roll land exactly on 100?
No. Pass space 100 and reach Finish; a roll larger than the remaining distance still finishes the game.
Q. Do we use both dice from the start?
No. The standard game uses one die. Moving by the total of two dice is the faster variant.
Q. Which way does turn order go?
Choose the first player with rock-paper-scissors, then continue counterclockwise.
Q. Does a ladder or slide trigger when I pass it?
No. It triggers only when the piece stops on that space.
Q. Do we use the Team Rocket cards from the deluxe edition?
No. The deluxe edition is a separate product. This guide covers only Bunnyland's standard edition.
Edition boundary and research scope
Bunnyland lists the standard and deluxe editions as separate products. This guide uses only facts confirmed from the standard-edition box and rules; it does not mix in the deluxe edition's cards, pieces or additional rules.
No dedicated BGG, English Wikipedia or Namuwiki entry was confirmed on 9 October 2026. Designer, award, release-year and official English-edition claims are therefore omitted.

💡 Master tip
The game is decided entirely by luck, so there is no meaningful strategy. That also means children need little adult help and can experience winning a game on their own.
